Fasting: if required, fast for 8-12 hours beforehand (water is usually fine). Common tests that require fasting include cholesterol panels, glucose tests, and metabolic panels. Fasting is not required for all tests — where it is relevant it will be noted clearly on your test page. If you are unsure, please contact us before your appointment.
Stay hydrated: drink plenty of water unless told otherwise. Being- well hydrated makes veins easier to find and draw from.
Avoid alcohol: Skip alcohol for at least 24 hours before, as it can affect liver enzymes and blood sugar levels.
Fasting means not eating or drinking anything other than water for a set period before your test — usually 8–12 hours. When you eat, your body processes nutrients that temporarily raise or alter levels of glucose, insulin, cholesterol, and triglycerides in your blood. Testing in a fasted state gives us a true baseline reading, making your results far more accurate and meaningful.
We advise taking a rest day at least the day before your appointment. Please letus know at your appointment when you last trained — this will be covered during the preparatory questions when you arrive.
You'll be welcomed by one of our clinical team. We'll run through some questions including your recent training, any medications and general health. We may also take some personal health measurements including weight, height, BMI, and waist and hip circumference before taking your blood sample.
All samples are taken by a trained nurse or phlebotomist. We are registered healthcare professionals and operate to clinical standards at every location.
Most appointments typically take between 20 and 30 minutes, from the moment you arrive to when you’re ready to leave.
The blood draw involves a small needle. Most clients find it very quick and comfortable. Our team are experienced in making the process as easy as possible.
Results are typically returned within 3–5 working days of your sample reaching our UKAS accredited laboratory. If you have not received your results within this window, please contact us directly.
Your results are delivered as a clear, easy-to-understand PDF document, with explanations of each biomarker and what it means for your health.
Once your results are in, take time to read through the explanations provided for each biomarker. Many clients find their results highlight areas they weren't aware of — whether that's a nutritional deficiency, a hormonal imbalance, or a performance marker that can be optimised. If anything stands out or you have questions, our clinical team is available to help. You can contact us directly or book a full consultation for a more in-depth review.
Our clinical team is available to discuss your results. You can book a consultation to go through anything in detail and receive personalised recommendations on your next steps.
We do not share your results with your GP automatically. Your results are yours. If you wish to share them with your GP or another healthcare provider, you are free to do so.

We go through your results in full, explaining each marker in plain language. We then work with you on addressing any abnormal results and optimising your markers — and it's worth noting that some areas can still be improved even when they are already within the optimal range. You'll leave with a personalised plan covering your next steps.
We break down your results into clear, practical insights you can actually use. Everything is explained in context, so you understand what’s happening in your body and what to do next.
